Bleached Linseed Oil is a classic, slightly yellowish painting and binding agent for the rubbing of oil paints and as a binding agent additive. It is perfect for glazing techniques and mixing with resins for traditional mediums. Its slight yellow tint may affect white pigments and therefore isn't recommended for pale colors. Bleached Linseed Oil can be diluted with turpentine and white spirit. It will yellow less than linseed oil, but dries slower. Whether a painting agent is required largely depends on the painting technique. Modifying the color will affect the consistency, opacity, drying time, shine and longevity of the colors.
